To Start off..

1.) ALWAYS KEEP
LIGHTROOM UPDATED

In order for our Lightroom interfaces to remain compatible, they both need to always be running on the latest version of Lightroom Classic.

2 .) FOR COHESIVEAND
CONSISTENT GALLERIES
pt.1
Send at least one edited anchor image every time the lighting situation or location changes throughout the shoot. Also, make certain your anchor images are consistent.

3.) FOR COHESIVE AND

CONSISTENT GALLERIES pt. 2

Make sure your edited anchors images are labeled in some way, either with stars or a color label. That way they will be easy for me to find and use as examples.

4.)  FOR COHESIVE AND

CONSISTENT GALLERIES

Before sending your catalog, check that you have sent me both.lrcat + .lrdata files.

5.) FOR ERROR FREE FILE TRANSFERS

Never rename or move the RAW files on your computer or external hard drive. If you do, you will not be able to sync the files I send back to you.

1.) PREPARING YOUR GALLERY

FOR EXPORT

Cull the gallery of images, only leaving photos that you will be exporting for the editor. Define Anchor Images (photos you have edited as examples) with a color label or stars.

2.) BUILD SMART PREVIEWS

You can build smart previews upon import. Or you can build them after importing by doing the following: while in the Library Module > Select All the photos you need > Go to Library > Previews > Build Smart Previews.

3.) PHOTO SELECTION & EXPORTING

Select all of the photos to be exported, including both your anchor/edited images and the unedited images. Then go to: Edit > Select All (or command/ctrl + a). 3 With the photos still selected go to: File > "Export as Catalog"

4.) NAME THE CATALOG

Name the catalog in the dialogue window, ie. "The England Wedding" And then export it to the desktop.

5.) CHECK APPROPRIATE BOXES

CHECK “Export Selected Photos Only” if this box is showing. Sometimes it does not show up as an option. That is okay. UNCHECK “Export negative files” CHECK “Build/Include Smart Previews” UNCHECK “Include available previews” Then select “Export Catalog” as in the example above.

6.) CONFIRM THE EXPORT

Open the folder on your desktop and make certain it contains 1-4 .lrdata files, and 1 .lrcat file.

7.) Last step!
Send your catalog and smart previews to englandedits@yahoo.com. I typically use WeTransfer.com
